As per this order anyone coming from one of the states listed on the COVID-19 Travel Advisory may need to adjust/cancel their reservation, or quarantine in NY 14 days before arriving to the Inn. Since this information can change daily, please stay informed, as it may affect your visit. For more information on these guidelines, please refer to the following link: https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory
As recommended precautions, per the CDC Federal guidelines, we are taking every reasonable precaution to ensure guest safety. Guests are required to wear masks upon entering the Inn, as well as all common areas and required to practice social distancing, when possible. Use of hand sanitizer, and frequent hand washing are also recommended.
We and our staff will follow the same protocol. Disinfecting wipes and antibacterial soap are provided in guest rooms. Hand sanitizer is provided in common areas, as well as our entrance. We ask guests to use hand sanitizer provided, as well as in guest hospitality areas, such as coffee stations/refrigerators. Masks are available, if you have forgotten yours. If you are uncomfortable with the institution of these policies, as a response to Covid-19, let us know before reserving your room, so we may clarify any questions you may have, as these policies will be a part of your reservation confirmation acceptance.
We are aware that part of the bed and breakfast experience is getting to know the innkeepers, but we also understand the seriousness of the matter at hand, so please do not be offended if we keep contact to a minimum. Rest assured we will be available to greet you at check in, and say good bye, at a distance, upon your departure. For those that would feel more comfortable with a self check-in and check out, just let us know your preference before arrival.
We understand that deposits have been made on future reservations, which may involve events that have been canceled, but the Finger Lakes was one of the first to open up fully, and most everything is open. We do hope you will consider coming anyway, as there is so much to explore in the Fingerlakes, and it's a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy.
If you still feel the need to cancel, we can either provide a credit for a future stay through 2021 or refund you less our $25 cancellation fee. Guests may apply the $25 towards a future stay through 2021. If you fall ill before your arrival (have a fever/sore throat/cough/stomach issues), please contact us to cancel reservation. We will honor your stay with a certificate to be used at a later date. The same holds true during your stay, notify us immediately, so we may determine the best way to handle the situation. As the CDC recommends, contact your physician as well.
We have taken every effort to ensure a clean environment by deep cleaning the inn. Our staff are disinfecting common areas and high touch areas several times daily, as well as tables & chairs where guests be seated or frequent. We are known for attention to detail in our cleaning efforts, and your guest room will be prepared with the utmost care. Guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned by our staff, and disinfected to ensure safety. Afterwards, guest room doors are closed and windows opened to clear the air in guest rooms. Our rooms have been minimized, removing extra linens, pillows, and knick knacks. Should you feel more comfortable bringing your own pillow, feel free to do so.
Our bedding is disinfected/washed after every departure, pillows are placed in dryers under high heat to kill any germs. Air purifiers are used to recirculate/purify the air in common areas and guestrooms after vacated. For the safety of our guests. as well as our staff, we are not freshening guest rooms for guests staying 1-4 days, but are readily available by phone or email for anything guests are in need of, such as clean towels or other amenities.
Because we can only accommodate five guest rooms, there is no overcrowding. We are fortunate to have three tables in our dining room to separate guests the suggested 6 ft. apart, as well as tables on our covered porch, and in our parlor. Guests may also request a continental breakfast tray, which will be placed outside your door at 9 am. We will be serving a bit differently, to minimize contact, and will place much of your breakfast out before you are seated, with your breakfast entree served afterwards. Guests must wear masks until they are seated. In the kitchen, we will take the utmost similar precautions while preparing your meal and our staff will wear masks while serving. You can still expect the scrumptious breakfasts we've always served, and it seems, this is our new normal – at least for awhile.
